We used the above logo for about six months before deciding to rebrand with something more versatile. that took suggestion from the original logo, but didn't put us in a box with color use and logo dimension.  We agreed that we arrived at something much sharper with what is below.

Monumus is a Social Purpose Corporation dedicated to the pursuit of bringing transparent, low-friction currencies and payment systems to the global population.  

Monumus utilizes Bitcoin to allow for immediate monetary transfers between basic feature phones.  In much of the developing world there exist substantial fees for using traditional financial services. It was crucial that Monumus portray integrity, trustworthiness, and customer focus.  

With that as a foundation, I worked with the client to create a logo that capitalized on Monumus's key attributes.  Majestic, sexy, memorable, purposeful, and ultimately, caring.  We settled on an owl and proceeded with other aspects of the brand.  

However, it then became apparent that the logo would have to be simplified to be effective in it's context, so we retackled the logo to accomplish something that we felt still embodied the basics and referenced the owl, but could be more versatile. I also revamped the website to feel more personal in the somewhat sterile finance space.
